Our Story

Resilient Communities Africa Foundation was established in Arusha region to address urgent challenges facing pastoralist communities in Northern Tanzania: climate change, education barriers, water scarcity, gender inequalities, and loss of cultural heritage.

Resilient Communities Africa Foundation builds resilience through grassroots solutions rooted in Ubuntu values.

Our Vision

To empower communities in Northern Tanzania to address socio-economic and environmental risks through grassroots innovation projects, enabling them to thrive and maintain resilience.

Our Mission

To strengthen community-driven resilience by advancing education, sustainable livelihoods, health, and cultural heritage for marginalized groups, especially women and children.

Co-founder & Technical Advisor
Dr. Kisiaya Saruni brings extensive technical expertise and academic credentials to RECAF's mission. As co-founder and technical advisor, he provides strategic guidance and technical oversight for all of RECAF's programs, ensuring that our initiatives are grounded in best practices and innovative solutions.
