Women’s Microfinance Initiative (USA)

The Women’s Microfinance Initiative (WMI) is a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering rural women through financial support, training, and livelihood opportunities. Through its partnership with ReCAF, WMI has played a key role in strengthening women’s economic empowerment in Maasai communities, including supporting the solar energy and water tank initiative, which has significantly improved women’s livelihoods, health, and resilience in Ngorongoro and Monduli.
